What we publish

The active site contains browser-based calculators and editorial planning records. Each calculator turns reader-supplied measurements into an early purchase quantity. Each record gives a fully labelled, illustrative scenario so a reader can see how area, product details, allowances, and whole-package rounding interact.

We intentionally do not call constructed examples "project case studies" or imply that they document customer work. We do not invent named writers, licenses, trade credentials, test results, product experience, or brand endorsements. The publishing entity is HomeCalc Tools, and questions or corrections can be sent through the contact page.

What the site does not do

A material takeoff is one part of an early project plan. It does not establish an installation method, construction assembly, final price, product compatibility, safety condition, or permit requirement. The calculators do not replace product documentation, a site inspection, local rules, or advice from a qualified person where the work requires it.

HomeCalc Tools does not sell placements in its active editorial records, and the site does not accept payment to alter a calculator formula or an allowance. Pages link to a material category or a companion calculator for context, not to a preferred retailer or brand.

How content is made and reviewed

Editorial content starts with a narrow question: what quantity is being estimated, which input is product-specific, how must the result be rounded to a purchase unit, and what important decision remains outside the calculation? A record is not published until its arithmetic can be followed from the displayed inputs.

HomeCalc Tools may use assisted drafting and code-generation tools during production. The final published page is reviewed for its stated scope, displayed arithmetic, claims, and limitations. We use this disclosure because readers should know the difference between a transparent calculation example and a claim of first-hand construction experience. Corrections and reader feedback

To report an issue, include the page URL, your input values, the exact package details or product instructions you used, and the result you expected. That information helps separate a formula problem from a changed assumption or product mismatch. Material that no longer meets the active editorial standard is removed from the search-facing library while it is reviewed.
